Students who intend to investigate some aspect of their teaching should explore possible topic areas with faculty members most knowledgeable about the topic and should do preliminary reading to gain some sense of the scholarship and research on the topic. The MFA coordinator and faculty will do our best to assign you the thesis director you request, but in order to distribute thesis duties equitably, you may be assigned a director and/or readers who are not your first choices on your list of preferences.
